We are approaching the point where the majority of the studwork will be closed prior to Warmcel being injected. The house is taking shape internally as most of the rooms' floor-plans are defined.

The Smart central vacuum pipes have been loose-fitted. The system will be glued together after we have fixed the outlets.

The MVHR system ducting has been delivered and must be installed before we close the studwork completely.  Johnson and Starley were happy to supply the ductwork separately from the MVHR unit, which means that we don't have to store the unit on site until we have finished the ceilings.

We have decided to put 12.5 mm Fermacell on the walls in the kitchen, dining room, hall, stairs, landing and bathrooms.  Fermacell gives good impact resistance for the main traffic areas, better sound insulation than plasterboard, and water-resistance in the bathrooms.  We will start fitting Fermacell in early March.

Val has chosen Grohe Grohtherm 3000 concealed showers and Hansgrohe Axor Uno 'spouts' for the Laufen Pro-A sinks. WCs will be Vitra.  An all-singing (really, it has a fitted radio!) Biojet bath has been bought for one en-suite.

With a bit of luck we may install the stove in time for the warmer weather!
